living with cancer - chemo

Bill's chemo treatments have begun. Thanks to my brother, Ken, who is also getting chemo/radiation, I now know that the difference between the two.

Radiation is intended to attack the tumor itself, and treatments are done daily.

Chemo is done less frequently and is a "wash" through the body, intended to go after other, loose, cancer cells floating about the body.

Both interventions can be intense and exhausting.
